This policy explains what GarageHero (LYT Ventures LLC) collects when you use https://garagehero.app or book a service, and how we use it.
What we collect
- Booking details: name, mobile number, email (optional), service address, gate code (optional), a description of the problem, and any photos you choose to send.
- Payment: your card is collected and stored by Stripe. We receive only a token, the card brand and last four digits, and charge outcomes. We never see or store your full card number.
- Job records: technician assignment, status timestamps, line items, notes and photos taken by the technician to document the work.
- Waitlist: email and location if you ask to be notified when we launch in your area.
- Technical: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages viewed). We do not use advertising trackers on the booking flow.
How we use it
- To dispatch a technician, keep you updated by SMS, and charge for completed work.
- To honor the 90-day workmanship guarantee and handle any follow-up.
- To send one feedback/review request after a job. We do not send marketing texts without separate consent.
- To comply with licensing, tax and legal obligations.
Who we share it with
- Technicians: the assigned technician sees your name, phone, address, gate code and problem description for the duration of the job.
- Service providers: Stripe (payments), Twilio (SMS), Amazon Web Services (hosting). Each processes data only to provide its service to us.
- Authorities, if required by law.
We do not sell personal information. Mobile numbers and SMS consent are never shared with third parties for marketing.
Retention
Job records are kept for as long as needed for the guarantee period, accounting and legal requirements (generally 7 years). Gate codes are deleted 30 days after job completion. You can ask us to delete your data sooner where the law allows.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text to stop SMS updates.
- Email support@garagehero.app to access, correct or delete your information.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We will post any changes here with a new “last updated” date.
